Our ideal teammate would have and accept the following requirements:

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Required:
• Previous experience with Microsoft Products including Word and Excel.
• Previous experience working with a team.
• Ability to direct people.
• Must be willing to work overtime as business needs require.
• Ability to work different shifts when required.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve with creative thinking.

Preferred:
• Previous experience in production operations such as steel production, blast furnaces, etc. – or chemical plant operations.
• Bilingual
• Experience in training others.
• OSHA 30 Hour Certification

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical knowledge (preferably in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering).

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Up to 90% International and Domestic travel, often in a continuous period of up to six (6) continuous months or longer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Physical ability to move around plant sites and climb ladders and stairs.

  • Phase 1: Classroom TrainingIn the first phase of this program, you will participate in structured educational setting lead by some of our most knowledgeable field operations experts. Our team will cover fundamental concepts, and the relevant skills necessary for success in the field.
  • Phase 2: On-Site Training – Following the completion of the first phase, you will commence a rotation through three MIDREX® Plants for hands-on training. This phase enables the practical application of the knowledge acquired in the classroom, fostering a deeper understanding and skill development in real-world scenarios.
  • Phase 3: Assignment ReadyAfter 21 months of training, you will be a Midrex plant commissioning expert and ready for your first assignment! The experience and knowledge that you have acquired throughout this program will ensure that you lead with excellence in every plant commissioning throughout your new career.

Ability to receive hands-on training with both Midrex professionals and Midrex plant personnel at various plant sites around the world.

  2. Virtual Interview – If your skills align with the requirements of the program and position, a member of our People & Culture team will reach out to schedule a virtual interview.
  3. In-Person Interview – After taking a deeper dive into the role during the virtual interview, if you and our team feel as though you are a fit for the program and position, we will have you invite you our office for an in-person interview. During this interview you will be able to engage with your potential teammates, and experience firsthand the dynamic atmosphere at Midrex. It’s not just an interview; it’s an opportunity to connect and envision your future within Midrex.
  4. Offer – Congratulations! If selected for the program, receive a formal offer letter that marks the beginning of your official Midrex adventure.
  5. Onboarding as a Midrex Teammate – Once all pre-hiring steps are complete, your at journey at Midrex will begin in March 2024.
