World DRI Production at 104.4M Tons in 2020

Global direct reduced iron (DRI) production reaches 104.4 Mt in 2020 despite global COVID-19 pandemic, according to 2020 World Direct Reduction Statistics. DRI output was down 3.4% from the record 108.1 Mt produced in 2019. Once again, the combination of India and Iran produced well over half of the global DRI.
