Midrex Teammates Continue Charitable Tradition in 2023

Midrex has a long-standing tradition of teammates contributing their time and money to benefit those in need in our community, while supporting valuable medical research. This year, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS)* is the keystone organization that we’ve partnered with. LLS is leading the fight against blood cancer: leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma. They fund lifesaving blood cancer research around the world, provide free information and support services to patients and their families, and are the voice for all blood cancer patients in securing quality, affordable, and coordinated care.
The Midrex partnership with LLS continues our commitment to furthering research and treatment of blood cancers in celebration of the strength, determination, and perseverance of Shohei Manabe, a Kobe Steel colleague and long-time Midrex advocate, throughout his long, successful battle with malignant lymphoma.
In 2023, we supported the work of LLS in various ways – from company-sponsored raffles and auctions for Charlotte professional sports teams’ tickets to cooking fundraisers, and much more; in addition to participating in the Student Visionaries of the Year Leadership Development Program and “Light the Night,” a community walk to bring light to the darkness of cancer.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the fund-raising and charitable events held during 2023. Together, we raised a total of $10,000 for LLS and contributed $10,000 to the campaign of Aidan Amini in the Student Visionaries Program.
