Living Our Purpose: Team Wild Waves Breaks Records in World’s Toughest Row Finish
July 22, 2024
Remember these two?
Over a month ago, we introduced Jessica Oliver and Charlotte Harris, aka Team Wild Waves, and their journey to complete The World’s Toughest Row – a 3000-mile trek from Monterey Bay, California across the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii:
On July 16th, after 37 days and 11 hours at sea, the Wild Waves team achieved an extraordinary feat by completing the World’s Toughest Row, shattering records and securing their place in history.
This team:
- Won the Female Class of the World’s Toughest Row
- Broke the Female Pairs record by 9 days.
- Set a new overall Pairs record (Men’s and Mixed), surpassing the previous best by 2 days.
- Came second overall, ahead of even a few trios and foursomes.
In a testament to their resilience and endurance, the Wild Waves team also became the first team ever to row both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.
We are a proud sponsor of Team Wild Waves and were happy to support their commitment to advancing women’s sports as well as to the Shelter Charity – an organization helping those with housing problems – whom they chose to fundraise for during this challenge. The Wild Waves team’s success serves as an inspiration, showcasing what can be achieved through dedication and collaboration.
Congratulations to Team Wild Waves for their historic accomplishments and for setting a new standard in ocean rowing!
