Living Our Purpose: Midrex Named Volunteer Group of the Year

May 16, 2025

We’re proud to share that on April 29th, Midrex was honored as the Holy Angels Volunteer Group of the Year — a powerful reflection of our commitment to giving back and the impact of our Midrex Gives Back initiatives. Will Dempsey, Midrex’s COO, who first introduced many teammates to Holy Angels, attended the Holy Angels Volunteer Appreciation Banquet to represent Midrex and accepted the meaningful award on our behalf.

Midrex is extremely honored to be recognized as Volunteer Group of the Year. Holy Angels is an amazing organization that exemplifies Midrex’s purpose to love and serve others. We’re proud to support the profound impact Holy Angels is making in our local community, and we look forward to our continued partnership.” – Will Dempsey, Midrex Chief Operating Officer

This recognition perfectly reflects our Midrex Gives Back initiatives, which aim to create lasting, positive impacts on our communities through meaningful partnerships and hands-on support.

The team from Midrex has shown up in full force time and time again with each request we have asked of them.  They have worked passionately and enthusiastically to support impactful projects that allow Holy Angels to continue to provide exceptional care to our more than 80 residents.”  – Anne Bogen, Holy Angels’ Chief Resource Development Officer

Our Ongoing Commitment

Midrex team members have a long history of supporting Holy Angels, a local nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our teammates have made a significant impact through a variety of volunteer efforts, including:

  • Camp Hope Beach Cleanups: Contributing to the upkeep of  Camp Hope Beach, a recreational space offering outdoor experiences for residents.
  • Facilities Improvement: Helping replace a retaining wall at the main facility, ensuring safety for years to come.
  • Greenhouse Restoration: Assisting in restoring raised flowerbeds for the Holy Angels horticulture program, which provides residents with opportunities to use adapted tools, learn about plants, and engage their creativity through gardening.

Most recently, on May 9th, we had a wonderful time helping with some landscaping at Camp Hope and the nonprofit’s main campus where our team once again came together to make a difference. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support such an incredible organization and look forward to continuing this partnership.
