Living Our Purpose: Midrex HQ Hosts “Tanner’s Cooking Show” Make-A-Wish Party

At Midrex, living our purpose means bringing joy and support to those who need it most—and few events reflect that better than our latest Make-A-Wish wish-granting celebration. Hosted at our Charlotte, NC headquarters, this special day was part of our Midrex Gives Back initiative and stood as a powerful example of our commitment to community and Core Values.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a globally recognized nonprofit that grants life-changing wishes to children diagnosed with critical illnesses. Each wish granted provides a moment of hope, strength, and happiness during some of the most difficult times in a child’s life. At Midrex, we’re honored to play even a small part in helping make those wishes come true.
This time, we had the privilege of celebrating Tanner, a young boy whose wish was to have a culinary experience at Disney World. To kick off the magic, we created a unique and joyful event themed around Tanner’s Cooking Show, giving him the spotlight to showcase his skills and creativity.
The day before the event, our volunteers came together to prep the space, transforming it into a colorful, fun cooking show set. On the big day, Tanner hosted his very own live cooking segment, showing us all how to make one of his favorite treats: fruit pizza! The room was filled with laughter, applause, and excitement as he led the way with confidence and joy.
The celebration didn’t stop there. Along with the cooking fun, there were delicious snacks, themed decorations, and heartfelt moments with Tanner and his family. The highlight of the day came with the reveal—Tanner’s wish to visit Disney World for a culinary adventure had officially been granted!
This event was yet another reminder of the heart behind Midrex Gives Back. We are so grateful for our continued partnership with Make-A-Wish and look forward to supporting many more children and families in the years to come.
